To open Settings, click your avatar in the top right and choose Settings. Settings has these sections: Account, Security, AI assistant, Appearance, Shortcuts, Subscription, Updates, and About.

Account

Account shows your name, email, and plan.
  • Invite friends: your referral code with a Copy button, and how many people you invited and how many activated. Copying gives you a shareable link. You and the person you invite both get a reward once they connect to a host.
  • Lock: locks the vault and keeps local data in place.
  • Sign out: disconnects live sessions and clears this device’s local database: hosts, groups, snippets, and settings. Your account on the server is untouched, so signing back in downloads it all again. If Touch ID is on, signing out also removes it for this account.
Delete account permanently deletes your hosts and credentials, groups, snippets, command audit logs, sent and received share invites, AI memories and settings, your profile, and your sign-in account. This cannot be undone. Click Delete…, type your email to confirm, then click Delete account.

Security

To change your master password, fill in Current password, New password, and Confirm new password under Master password, then click Change password. The new password must be at least 8 characters. See Security and encryption for how the master password protects your credentials.

AI assistant

Choose the provider for the AI assistant:
  • Hosted: runs on the Termique API. 15 prompts a day on Free, 100 on Pro.
  • Custom endpoint: any OpenAI-compatible API. Enter the API base URL, Model, and API key. The key is encrypted with your vault key and stored on this device. Turn on Send terminal output to this endpoint to allow terminal output you attach to a message to be sent there.
Click Save to apply. See AI assistant.

Appearance

Pick Light, Dark, or Match system. Match system follows your OS setting and is the default. You can also switch between light and dark from the account menu. Under Terminal, Copy on select copies text when you select it with the mouse. Right-click pastes. This setting applies to this computer only.

Shortcuts

Shortcuts lists keyboard shortcuts in groups: Global, Sessions, Switch to tab, Panes, and Terminal. Click a shortcut to record a new combination. Press Esc to cancel recording. If the combination is already used by another action, Termique shows Shortcut conflict. Click Override to move it, or Cancel. Click Reset to defaults to restore every shortcut.

Subscription

Subscription shows your plan and its status, plus usage tiles for Share recipients and AI prompts today. See Plans and billing to upgrade or manage billing.

Updates

Updates shows your installed version and checks for a new one when you open it.
  1. Click Check for updates, or Check again after a previous check.
  2. If an update is available, review the release notes and click Download update.
  3. When the download finishes, click Restart & install.
Termique also checks for updates shortly after launch. If one is available, a notification offers Install & restart.
On macOS, installing an update asks for your system password. Enter it and keep Termique open until the update finishes.
